BPA Making 9-year Deal with Port Townsend Mill by Associated Press Seattle Times, August 17, 2012

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. -- The Bonneville Power Administration says it's able to offer a nine-year contract to a Port Townsend paper mill because the long-term market price for Northwest electricity has been driven down by low natural gas prices.

The BPA says the contract extension with the Port Townsend Paper Co. would start next year and supply the mill through September 2022.

The BPA is taking public comment on the proposed contract through Sep. 14.
