They're Comingby Eric BarkerLewiston Tribune, April 22, 2010 |
The 2010 spring chinook run continues to distance itself from the 10 year average at Bonneville Dam. On Wednesday more than 11,600 chinook were counted at the dam's fish ladder. It was the first five digit day of the 2010 season. The season total at Bonneville is now 68,432, 10,000 above the 10-year average of 58343
Counts at Lower Granite Dam are still far behind the average but the dam did see its highest chinook numbers so far this year when 288 swam up the fish ladder Wednesday. The season total at the dam is 433. That number should continue to climb. Counts at Ice Harbor Dam have been between 650 and 981 during the past five days.
