S. Fork of Salmon to Close Sundayby StaffThe Idaho Statesman, July 8, 2005 |
Salmon anglers will have one more weekend to fish for chinook salmon on the South Fork Salmon River.
They can fish until the end of fishing hours on Sunday, which will be at 10:29 p.m. Anadromous fisheries coordinator Bill Horton said managers recommended the closure based on the number of chinook harvested so far, and anticipated harvest over the weekend.
"We anticipate we will reach our quota for the state's share of the harvestable unlisted chinook salmon by Sunday," Horton said.
