LEWISTON -- A Lewiston man has caught the new Idaho state record for a coho salmon.
Matt Hosking caught a nearly 12-pound 33-inch silver in the Clearwater River on October 13th. That broke the old record by a third of a pound.
This is the third fall for a strong coho run into Idaho. Over 15,000 fish have passed Lower Granite Dam on the Snake River heading into the Gem State.
