Oscar Performanceby Al EspinosaLewiston Tribune, November 5, 2003 |
Idaho's Big Desert Agriculture deserves an Oscar for their Chicken Little response to the enviros intent to sue the government for not living up to their legal agreements.
It has certainly been an Academy Award-winning performance of whining behavior. No one is going to dry up southern Idaho. Much of desert agriculture has been built upon the backs of once healthy watersheds, rivers and salmon-steelhead populations.
Idaho citizens need to critically question the agricultural community on their role in recovering anadromous fish populations and diversifying Idaho's economy. Running around like Chicken Little doesn't cut it.
