Salmon Fishing Off Mouth of Columbia River to Reopen Monday by Bill Monroe The Oregonian, August 15, 2024

Salmon fishing will reopen Monday off the mouth of the Columbia River after a week-long closure.

Federal managers said there are enough hatchery coho remaining in the pre-season quota to allow more fishing through Thursday.

Rules will be the same as before -- two salmon per day, only one chinook and all coho must be fin-clipped.

The open area is between Cape Falcon (Manzanita) and Leadbetter Point (Long Beach, Wash.).
