Please support and vote for Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Don't give the socialist tax-and-spend Democrats another vote in the U.S. House.

While in the Washington state Senate, Lisa Brown has continually supported not only a state income tax, but also increases in sales, small business, motor vehicle, gas and death taxes.

Additionally, Lisa supports extreme environmental policies that will hurt farmers and increase the risk of wildfires, and could lead to the removal of the dams on the Snake River. Cathy opposes removal of the dams, which produce enough clean, renewable energy every year to power nearly 2 million homes.

The Snake River dams also allow for the efficient, cost-effective, low-carbon transport of goods. Nearly 10 percent of all U.S. wheat exports are shipped through the four Lower Snake River dams. It would have taken more than 43,000 rail cars, or more than 160,000 semi-trucks, to move the goods that went by barge in 2014.

Even more outrageous is Lisa's claim that Cathy voted to take health care away from with those with pre-existing conditions. The Washington Post (not exactly a conservative rag) gave this claim Four "PINOCCHIOS" -- or what the Post called a "whopper."

And finally, Lisa has claimed that Cathy doesn't support CHIP, the Children's Health Insurance Program. This is a blatant lie. Cathy voted for a 10-year extension of the CHIP program, the most generous and longest reauthorization of the program in its history. In fact, Cathy has been a longtime supporter of CHIP; in 2007 she voted to override President George W. Bush's veto of CHIP's reauthorization.

We all know that politics is a blood sport and a very dirty business, but Lisa has taken the pursuit to a new low. Vote for Cathy. Cathy, the highest-ranking woman in the U.S. House of Representatives, has done an outstanding job for the people of the 5th Congressional District and our country. She deserves to be returned to office.
