Boaters Can Use Dam Locks During Daylightby StaffTri-City Herald, September 19, 2011 |
The Army Corps of Engineers has switched to "on request" lockage service instead of regularly scheduled times for its Mid-Columbia dams as summer ends.
Recreational boaters can use the locks almost any time during daylight hours at McNary Dam on the Columbia River and Ice Harbor, Lower Monumental, Little Goose and Lower Granite dams on the Snake River.
However, the Lower Granite lock will be closed to recreational boaters from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
