Idaho Power Halts Tours of Facilities by Staff Idaho Statesman, May 30, 2003

Idaho Power Co. has again halted all public tours at its hydroelectric facilities.

Tours also will be halted at the Swan Falls historical exhibit.

The decision to stop tours was prompted by the change of the national security level to orange, or high risk.

Idaho Power also is closing the company road to Oxbow Dam at the company's Oxbow shop facilities. The dam still can be accessed by foot.

The change in security levels, however, will not affect any of the company's parks or recreational facilities.
