Idaho Water Users
During lunch, Sherl Chapman, executive director of the Idaho Water Users, discussed Western water issues. He said agencies such as NMFS, USFWS, and EPA are doing a good job in keeping their headquarter people in Washington, D.C., very uninformed at how much Idaho is concerned about dam breaching and water issues in the West. Chapman suggested more pressure be applied in Washington, D.C. as the "enviros" are applying their tactics on a daily basis.
Chapman discussed water flows and temperature controls. He also discussed the Salmon Recovery Bilogical Opinion and how NMFS and USFWS wants to include upper Snake River storage water.
Salmon Recovery
Chapman said we need to strongly oppose the draft EIS, as decision makers had the opinion there is overwhelming support of dam breaching in Idaho.
