I'm Glad Obama is Taking a Look at Recovery Plan by James Ellsworth Idaho Statesman, May 31, 2009

I'm writing to publicly say thank you to the Obama administration for taking a long-awaited look at the government's failed efforts to recover salmon.

The announcement recently that the administration would review the government's 2008 salmon recovery plan over the next 30 to 60 days is indeed welcomed. As a long-time Idaho business owner I know firsthand how much salmon recovery, real recovery of wild and self-sustaining runs, would mean for the state's economy. To work effectively toward recovery, all options must be on the table.

In Obama, I believe we've got a leader who will see through the bureaucratic smoke of past administrations and chart a path that makes sense for people and the fish.
