State Fish and Wildlife fishing checks from the Columbia River region:
Lower Columbia River - 221 bank anglers Sept. 24-30 caught 24 chinook, four coho and four steelhead, and released three chinook, two coho and three steelhead; 135 boats with 276 anglers Sept. 24-30 caught 90 chinook and three coho, and released three chinook, six coho and one steelhead; one boat with one angler Sept. 24-30 caught no sturgeon; four boats with six anglers Sept. 24-30 caught one walleye.
Columbia River in Bonneville Pool - 18 boats with 36 anglers Sept. 24-30 caught 21 chinook, one coho and three steelhead.
Columbia River in The Dalles Pool - Six bank anglers Sept. 24-30 released 12 sturgeon; one boat with two anglers Sept. 24-30 caught two sturgeon; six bank anglers Sept. 24-30 caught no salmon or steelhead; one boat with two anglers caught one chinook; one bank angler Sept. 24-30 caught two bass.
Cowlitz River - 130 bank anglers Sept. 24-30 caught one chinook and four coho, and released six chinook, six coho and one cutthroat trout; 36 boat anglers caught four coho and one cutthroat trout, and released two chinook and six coho.
Kalama River - 12 bank anglers Sept. 24-30 released two chinook.
Lewis River mainstem - Two bank anglers Sept. 24-30 released one chinook; three boat anglers released one chinook and two coho.
Lewis River North Fork - 71 bank anglers Sept. 24-30 caught four chinook and four coho, and released one chinook; 86 boat anglers caught 45 chinook and two steelhead, and released 11 chinook.
Washougal River - 15 bank anglers Sept. 24-30 caught one chinook.
Wind River - One boat angler Sept. 24-30 caught two coho.
Drano Lake - 28 boat anglers Sept. 24-30 caught 13 chinook and released one.
