SW WA, Lower Columbia,
Buoy 10 Fishing Report

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam -- 210 salmonid boats and 135 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Tuesday, August 12.

Salmon/Steelhead

Section 1 (Bonneville) -- 41 bank anglers kept two steelhead and released 12 steelhead. 6 boats/10 rods had no catch.

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) -- Two bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/2 rods had no catch.

Section 3 (I-5 Area) -- 20 bank anglers kept two steelhead. 2 boats/4 rods had no catch.

Section 4 (Vancouver) -- Eight bank anglers released one steelhead. 5 boats/11 rods kept one steelhead.

Section 5 (Woodland) -- 25 bank anglers kept one steelhead and released one coho. 21 boats/49 rods kept six Chinook and two steelhead.

Section 6 (Kalama) -- 43 bank anglers kept two Chinook, three steelhead and released one Chinook and five steelhead. 5 boats/12 rods had no catch.

Section 7 (Cowlitz) -- No effort reported.

Section 8 (Longview) -- 37 bank anglers kept one steelhead and released three steelhead. 9 boats/19 rods released one Chinook and two steelhead.

Section 9 (Cathlamet) -- 18 bank anglers kept one Chinook. 3 boats/5 rods had no catch.

Section 10 (Cathlamet) -- No bank effort reported. 1 boat/2 rods had no catch.

Columbia River Tributaries

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) -- Eight bank anglers kept one steelhead. No boat effort reported.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) -- One bank angler kept three steelhead. 14 boats/51 rods kept 42 steelhead and released one steelhead.

Kalama River -- No effort reported.

Lewis River -- Two bank anglers had no catch. 1 boat/3 rods had no catch.

Wind River -- No effort reported.

Drano Lake -- 21 bank anglers kept one steelhead and released two steelhead. 37 boats/91 rods kept five Chinook, 24 steelhead and released one Chinook and 41 steelhead.

Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) -- One bank angler had no catch.
