Fishing Report (5-27-26) Report

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam -- 342 boats and 401 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Sunday, May 24.

Salmon/Steelhead

Section 1 (Bonneville) -- 74 bank anglers kept ten Chinook and released three Chinook. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) -- No bank effort reported. 15 boats/27 rods kept one Chinook and released one Chinook.

Section 3 (I-5 Area) -- Eight bank anglers had no kept catch and released one Chinook. No boat effort reported.

Section 4 (Vancouver) -- 60 bank anglers kept five Chinook and released one Chinook. 22 boats/46 rods kept two Chinook.

Section 5 (Woodland) -- 30 bank anglers had no catch. 9 boats/16 rods kept one Chinook.

Section 6 (Kalama) -- 45 bank anglers kept two Chinook and one steelhead. 14 boats/38 rods kept 13 Chinook, and one jack.

Section 7 (Cowlitz) -- No bank effort reported. 1 boat/2 rods had no catch.

Section 8 (Longview) -- 76 bank anglers kept five steelhead. 54 boats/122 rods kept one Chinook, 12 steelhead, and released one Chinook.

Section 9 (Cathlamet) -- 47 bank anglers kept three steelhead. 9 boats/21 rods kept two Chinook, five steelhead and released two steelhead.

Section 10 (Cathlamet) -- Nine bank anglers caught two steelhead. 23 boats/ 50 rods kept two Chinook and seven steelhead.

Columbia River Tributaries

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) -- 65 bank anglers kept one Chinook, three steelhead, and released two steelhead. 3 boats/6 rods kept one Chinook.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) -- Nine bank anglers had no catch. 1 boat/2 rods kept one steelhead.

Kalama River -- 14 bank anglers had no catch. 12 boats/30 rods kept eight Chinook, and one jack.

Lewis River -- 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Wind River -- One bank angler kept one Chinook. 24 boats/52 rods kept eight Chinook.

Drano Lake -- Six bank anglers had no catch. 41 boats/ 88 rods kept 16 Chinook, and one jack.

Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) -- No effort reported.
