Salmon and Steelhead:
Lower portions of Abernathy, Cedar (North Fork Lewis tributary), Coal, Germany, Mill (Cowlitz Co.) creeks and the Coweeman River - Re-open to fishing for hatchery steelhead and other game fish November 1.
Cowlitz River - Anglers continue to catch a mix of fall Chinook, coho, sea run cutthroats, and a few steelhead.
Kalama River - Anglers are catching a mix of fall Chinook, coho, and steelhead.
Lewis River - Boat anglers are catching fall Chinook and coho while bank anglers are primarily catching coho jacks.
Drano Lake - Boat anglers are catching some fall Chinook.
Wind River - Light effort and catch. October 31 is the last day to fish for salmon.
Lower Columbia below Bonneville Dam - Bank anglers are catching some fall Chinook while boat anglers are primarily catching coho. Effort is waning with <100 boats and similar number of bank anglers counted during last Saturday's flight.
Under permanent rules, closed to fishing for salmon from Beacon Rock to Bonneville Dam effective November 1.
Bonneville Pool - Boat anglers are catching fall Chinook and coho. 62 and 15 boats were observed off the mouths of the Klickitat and White Salmon rivers, respectively, last Saturday morning.
Pool level was very low last weekend making launching difficult at Mayer State Park in Oregon.
The Dalles Pool - Boat anglers are catching some Chinook.
