Lower Willamette Fishing Reports

The following fishing reports originated with WDFW and ODFW

Mainstem Columbia River

Lower Columbia River, Rocky Point/Tongue Point line upstream to Bonneville Dam -- 299 salmonid boats and 131 Washington bank rods were tallied on the flight count Saturday, March 21.

Salmon/Steelhead

Section 1 (Bonneville) -- 123 bank anglers kept three Chinook, released one Chinook and one steelhead. No boat effort reported.

Section 2 (Camas/Washougal) -- Two bank anglers had no catch. 11 boats/21 rods had no catch.

Section 3 (I-5 Area) -- Eight bank anglers had no catch. 4 boats/7 rods had no catch.

Section 4 (Vancouver) -- 32 bank anglers had no catch. 37 boats/67 rods kept one Chinook and one steelhead.

Section 5 (Woodland) -- 20 bank anglers had no catch. 13 boats/19 rods had no catch.

Section 6 (Kalama) -- 33 bank anglers had no catch. 8 boats/15 rods kept one Chinook.

Section 7 (Cowlitz) -- No bank effort reported. 1 boat/1 rod had no catch.

Section 8 (Longview) -- 68 bank anglers kept two Chinook, two steelhead and released five steelhead. 36 boats/79 rods kept one Chinook.

Section 9 (Cathlamet) -- 53 bank anglers kept one steelhead and released eight steelhead. 6 boats/14 rods kept one Chinook and one steelhead.

Section 10 (Cathlamet) -- No bank effort reported. 31 boats/53 rods kept five Chinook.

Columbia River Tributaries

Salmon/Steelhead

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge downstream) -- 56 bank anglers kept three steelhead. No boat effort reported.

Cowlitz River (I-5 Bridge upstream) -- 75 bank anglers kept four steelhead. 11 boats/39 rods kept 21 steelhead and released one steelhead.

Kalama River -- 21 bank anglers kept five steelhead, released one Chinook and one steelhead. 7 boats/19 rods kept four steelhead.

Lewis River -- Six bank anglers had no catch. 2 boats/6 rods released three steelhead.

Wind River -- No effort reported.

Drano Lake -- No effort reported.

Klickitat River (below Fisher Hill Bridge) -- No effort reported.
