CFAC Backers Await Word on BPA Contractby Katy HarrisKAJ 18, November 17, 2011 |
COLUMBIA FALLS - Supporters of the Columbia Falls Aluminum Plant are still waiting patiently to hear if an agreement to re-open again will be made.
The National Environmental Policy Act is currently reviewing public comments issued about the plant.
Public comment is part of approving a power contract between the Bonneville Power Administration and CFAC that involves BPA agreeing to sell 140-megawatts of power to CFAC in order to begin operating again by April.
The NEPA could release their decision, based off public comment by early December.
