Power Needed Beyond Solar, Wind

America's founders rebelled and won independence when their economic freedom was strangled by British taxes and regulations. The U.S. Constitution built limitations on governmental power, but socialists have destroyed these restraints as they promote world government.
As Americans find that fuel, food and housing are being priced beyond their means, we hear false explanations like hatred of energy producers. The truth is that Americans no longer produce sufficient goods and services to trade with other countries to buy the energy we need to support our standard of living and power our technology.
Why is this? There are three reasons, taxation, regulation and environmental litigation. We pay nearly one-half of our income in taxes which are largely wasted. One-fourth is wasted on non-productive enslavement to non-scientific EPA regulations. Litigation for 35 years has stopped most low-cost energy production from petroleum and nuclear power and stopped refinery building.
Our socialist politicians are stark raving mad. The basis of the Democratic Party energy policy endorsed by Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, calls for a 90 percent reduction in hydrocarbon use, create a carbon tax and eliminate nuclear power. They want to convert to wind and solar, which require a 24/7 backup, and now produce less than 1 percent of our energy. Without taxpayer money to subsidize these alternatives, they are not economically viable to replace hydrocarbon and nuclear power that presently supply 93 percent of our energy.
Our beacon of freedom to the world's people is for the continued existence of the United States under our Constitution and Bill of Rights and to remain a free, strong and independent nation. We must drill here and expand nuclear power to make us energy independent again.
