BOISE -- The Idaho Fish and Game Commission says anglers can fish for spring chinook salmon again this year.
The season opens Saturday on the Upper Snake River in Hells Canyon, the Lower Salmon river, the Little Salmon River and the Clearwater River, including the North and South forks.
The season will last until July 31 on all the rivers except for the Upper Snake, which closes June 19, and the Lower Salmon, which closes June 26.
Still, the season may close sooner at the commissions' discretion.
The season got a later than normal start this year, with nearly 83,000 fish crossing the Bonneville Dam on the lower Columbia by May 17th.
So far, commissioners say only about 3,600 chinook have entered Idaho.
