Wind Turbines Shutdown Possible

Wind power producers in the northwest are fighting a proposal that would shut down wind turbines at certain times.
The Bonneville Power Administration wants the wind turbines, including some in the Kittitas Valley, to shut down for short periods of time. This would prevent overload to power grids that also take in hydropower.
But experts say turbine owners could lose money by having to shut down machines during windy conditions.
