Lower Clearwater Fall

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission added a 1.7 mile section of the Clearwater River to the upcoming hatchery fall chinook fishing season Monday.
The river will open to salmon fishing from its mouth to Memorial Bridge Sept. 1. Anglers will be able keep up to two hatchery fall chinook per day but only one can be 24-inches long or longer. The season could stay open as long as Oct. 31.
The commission approved fall chinook fishing on the Snake River between Lewiston to Hells Canyon Dam at its July meeting. That season will also open Sept. 1
