Chinook Fishing to End on South Fork Salmon

Chinook salmon fishing will come to an end on the South Fork of the Salmon River at 10:30 p.m. Friday.

Anglers have already exceeded the state's share of the salmon run.

Chinook season remains open on the Clearwater River and its Middle Fork from the Orofino Bridge to the confluence of the Lochsa and Selway rivers, the South Fork of the Clearwater River, Lochsa River, Salmon River between Time Zone Bridge and

Short's Creek, the Little Salmon River and the Snake River in Hells Canyon Dam between Dug Bar and Hells Canyon Dam. Chinook fishing is also open on the Wallowa and Imnaha rivers in northeastern Oregon.
