Chinook Fishery to Open on Snake River
Wallowa County Chieftain, April 21, 2011
ENTERPRISE -- Spring chinook fishing along upper Snake River will start Saturday, April 23. Anglers can work the river every day from Dug Bar Boat Ramp to Hells Canyon Dam, until the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife announces closure.
Fishery managers predict more chinook salmon will return to the base of Hells Canyon Dam than needed at the hatchery.
